Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology

The Ashmolean is the University of Oxford's museum of art and archaeology, founded in 1683. It is the oldest public museum in the world and has incredibly rich collections from around the globe, ranging from Egyptian mummies and classical sculpture to the Pre-Raphaelites and modern art.

Access

The Museum provides disabled access and adapted toilet facilities and on-street disabled parking. Staff can also provide visual and audio aides on request.

There is no public parking at any of the Museums, although there is pay-and-display parking near by. Visit Getting Here for information on public transport.
