Community Outreach – bringing the museums to you

Community Outreach helps develop new guides for families with children with Autism.

Read the Community Outreach Service report on the motivations and benefits for community groups engaging with our museums.

Read our Me, Myself & Manet blog which documents our outreach activities around Manet’s Portrait of Mademoiselle Claus at the Ashmolean.

8 Adults with learning disabilities used the museums' and collections' objects and specimens to inspire dance and movement over a 12 week project.

The Community Outreach Service provides free workshops and programmes for adult community groups, adult learners, and family learning groups.

These outreach sessions involve handling real museum objects, as well as a range of other hands-on activities. The sessions are delivered at your own venue and can be tailored to meet the needs of your group.

We also provide free workshops and guided tours at each of the museums and collections.
